My Adjustments to College as the Semester Comes to its End
I have grown a lot these past few months as a person and as a student. As a student I've realized I need to be more accountable with my work. And as a person I've gained more confidence in myself which I am really proud of. I started off this semester coming out of a breakup from a long high school relationship. I had really no friends nor anyone that I could talk to about anything. I was forced into a position where I had to find myself. Even though North Central is super close to home for me, I forced myself to stay on campus for the weekends cause I knew I needed to gain a sense of independence and individuality. As Track practice started to ramp up I was able to find some friends within the team and also outside of the team. I think it is important to have friends outside of the team because it serves as a reality check, which I don't think I've lost myself too much to Track in an unhealthy way.
