Pole Vault Backflip!
I went to a meeting for future Physician Assistants and it went almost all the way through our practice. So while my teammates were leaving I got to practice. Since I didn't have enough time to get back to real vaults I decided to work on short approach drills which are more technical. However, I remembered seeing a short approached drill in the past where the vaulter did a backflip and I thought it looked sick. So I worked with my Coach and we were able to get it down in around 30 minutes.
The funny part about this whole thing was that all of my teammates who are upper-classman do not know how to do this drill and they weren't there to witness me doing it. So on Thursday when we came back to practice they were oblivious to my ability doing it, and our coach decided to introduce a "new drill" to us. At first my teammates were against doing the drill, but when I volunteered to go first, and did it perfectly it got them fired up to do the same. My Coach and I did eventually tell the other vaulters that I learned it the day before, but it was a fun trick.
