Challenges and Experiences in College

So far this semester has been filled with new experiences for me which have posed various challenges I've needed to overcome. Some of which include more responsibilities since I am now more independent while staying away from home. Some of those responsibilities include "household" chores and time management.

Some of the household chores I mention include doing laundry and keeping a clean living space while living in compromise with a roommate. I was paired up with a random roommate whom I did not know, but I got lucky with the fact that we respect each others space and keep our separate sides tidy and livable. Although laundry is a small thing to add, it is just another responsibility that weighs down a bit in the back of my mind. I say this because I laundry takes around an hour and a half, and as a college student I don't always have a lot of free time so I need to plan for it so it doesn't interfere when I go out with friends/have classes.

I'm a student athlete in Track so I need to take into account how I can get to practice when needing to work on school work, and how to make up practices I may miss from getting help on schoolwork. On Tuesdays and Thursdays we have office hours from 11:30-1:30 PM, which is unfortunate because my Track practice runs through that time also. So if I need help in any classes I am not able to go to the designated time for help, instead, I need to email my teachers and work out a time that works best for us outside of classes. Sometimes, a class requires me to attend a seminar that takes place during my practice times so I miss working out in a big group with my teammates.
