An image from my photo album

My mom, my sister Natalie, my brother Todd, and I went on a road trip to Buffalo, New York last summer, where Niagara Falls is located. I wanted to share this picture because I am not the best photographer as I don't take too many photos, but I think I did pretty decently on the photo I posted above. I took this photo off my iPhone after we went on the Maid of the Mist boat ride. The boat ride brought us really close to the Falls where we were constantly getting splashed by the mist from the waterfalls. Luckily, we were given plastic ponchos to help protect us from getting too wet.

Nature can be very destructive yet peaceful at the same time. I've been told this before, but never came to realize it to its full extent until I saw the actual power of the water raining down. After the boat ride, we took an elevator to the top deck of the Niagara Falls Observation Tower. That is where I was able to get the angle of the Falls as shown in the picture. I highly recommend seeing Niagara Falls, it gave me a good perspective on how powerful, destructive, and beautiful nature can be, and I believe others would agree with me.

I really enjoy looking at this picture because of the lush greenery that compliments the active water. I like how you can tell where the clouds are in the sky by looking at the shadows over the treeline. I also like looking at how the white water starts as it falls off the cliff of the falls, and how it dissipates a bit into the Niagara river. I like this picture because it's not forcing me to look at anything specific, it's from such a far away perspective that I get to choose what I want to focus on. There's so much going on I could look at it for hours just trying to spot each and every small detail.
